HISTORY OF THE FIRST DOOBIE LINER
The first Doobie Liner was owned and flown by Samuel Stewart. It was put into service for the Doobie Brothers in 1972 after the band decided it was too difficult to make commercial flights while touring. It was flown as the Doobie Liner until September 1, 1974 when it was destroyed by fire.

Delivered July 11, 1952.
Pacific Air Lines purchased it on August 15, 1960.
Pallas Design & Engineering Co. purchased it on June 30, 1968.
Samuel T Stewart bought it in November of 1971.
Leased to Air Travellers Club November of 1971.
GSD Aircraft Inc. purchased it in 1973.
Destroyed by fire Norfolk Regional Airport, VA September 1, 1974.
